What We're Looking For

Sibra House publishes nonfiction that is:

Grounded in lived experience, distinct perspectives and/or professional expertise
Deeply fearless, vulnerable and transparent
Crafted with purpose and designed for impact
Charged with the potential to create transformation for reader

We're particularly interested in:

Personal development
Memoir with clear and transformative messaging
Work that solves a real problem or explores a meaningful theme
Original frameworks, methodologies and systems
Experience-driven narratives

Ideal tone:

Clear and intentional
Engaging but grounded
Authoritative without being grandiose or arrogant
Accessible without being overly simplistic

Depth:

Well-developed ideas
Structured thinking
Substance over speed, volume or perfection

What We May Consider

Fiction works that relentlessly explore the human experience and its related themes (no epic fantasy)
Poetry with themes of transformation or change, emotions, trauma recovery, introspection, existentialism or other aspects of being human
Surrealism and works that blur traditional publishing rules
Workbooks, interactive journals or low-content books designed to create transformation or self-empowerment

What We Don't Publish

Most fiction genres
Early-stage ideas without an already-started manuscript
Manuscripts without a clear purpose or target audience
Projects needing only basic print or upload services

We focus on depth, intricate development and long-term value for readers.

Our Ideal Author

You may be a strong fit if you:

Have a clear message or central idea
Are committed to honing your craft, digging deep and developing your work to a high standard
Are open to editorial collaboration and refinement

We work with both first-time and experienced authors, provided the foundation is strong and our intentions align.

Submission Guidelines

We accept standard manuscript proposals, which should include at minimum:

Overview/manuscript summary
Market analysis
Promotional plan and platform(s)
Competitive analysis
Chapter summaries
Sample chapters totaling 5,000-8,000 words
Author bio/about the author

For submitting fiction that you believe fits what we're looking for, please provide:

First 50 pages of manuscript
Start-to-finish synopsis of no more than 1,000 words
Query letter that includes why you believe your manuscript aligns with Sibra House's mission and values

Response Times

We make it a priority to respond to every submission individually.

Submissions are reviewed within 2-3 weeks on average. If you have not heard from us within 4 weeks, please send us a nudge.
